Experience Royal Arena Rise

Over the summer, you have the opportunity to get close to the impressive construction of Copenhagen’s new multifunctional arena. From the roof of a brand new pavilion, you can experience the construction rise and watch cranes mount huge trusses over the arena floor throughout the summer.

In 2012, a 3XN-headed team won the competition to design the Royal Arena. The project will open for sport and cultural events in the fourth quarter of 2016. Royal Arena will have room for about 15,000 guests at concerts and about 12,500 for sporting events.

Besides the viewing post on the roof of the pavilion, illustrations will depict how the finished Royal Arena will look when construction ends in 2016, giving visitors a closer insight the design.

The pavilion will be open to the public every day from June 27th until August 23rd, from 12 to 7 pm.

You will find the pavilion on address Ørestads Boulevard. The construction site has its address on Hannemanns Allé 18, 2300 Copenhagen S, from where there will be signs to the pavilion. The Metro stop Ørestad Station is a five-minute walk from the site.
