Kim Herforth Nielsen & 3XN Participate in London Festival of Architecture

A holistic, future-proof and sustainable workplace improves the dialogue between the city and its businesses. By inviting the business world in, the modern community can become an urban hub for innovation and growth.

The recent developments in both workplace design and style –activity-based, open plan, flexible and increasingly democratic – have been embraced in Scandinavia for quite some time. The Livable Cities: Workplace panel will explore the success and challenges of these ways of working in the Danish/Nordic context and how developers, designers and companies are applying them in London.

These same ideas and design philosophies that create successful, productive workplaces contribute to our liveable cities. Both are best designed ‘outside in’ and the ‘inside out,’ benefitting from thoughtfully designed, accessible public space, access to daylight and green space, as well as secure private areas.
